Entering the 2011 football recruiting season, the number one overall player on Rivals.com is wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, a 6’6″ 220 pound machine out of Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri. Green-Beckham has been called a combination of Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones, who have been two of the best receivers in all of college football over the last five years.
Green-Beckham has received scholarship offers from every elite school across the country almost, including the top teams in the Big Ten. Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin have all offered him a scholarship, and according to Rivals, he currently has medium interest in all of those schools.
The problem will become whether or not any of those schools can entice him with their run-oriented offenses, but it’s important to note that this future superstar’s list of desired teams includes some of the best in the Big Ten.
